Events Experience

When Second Stage Theater purchased the Hayes Theater in 2015, the organization set its sights on revamping its event experiences without changing too much about the theater itself. It worked with the Rockwell Group to make changes that would improve the way people could watch a Broadway show at the Hayes Theater in NYC.

To help the Second Stage Theater achieve this goal, the Rockwell Group implemented the following features into its final design plans:

» Beautiful blue ombré walls with an aesthetically pleasing pixilated environmental mural covering them

» Copper-colored seats covered in velvet to provide them with an antique appearance while delivering artful contrast

» An ahead-of-the-curve rigging system to enable designers to create more complex sets than ever before

» Completely overhauled HVAC and fire alarm systems to offer more comfort and safety overall

But despite these big changes, the Hayes Theater still exudes the same charm it has had since the beginning. As anyone who has attended a show there can tell you, there isn’t a bad seat in the house to be found.
